I caused a crack in the motherboard pin.
I was about to return a Z490 board, but while installing the CPU cover it damaged the pins. It bent severely, though I managed to keep three intact. The worst moment happened on the final pin—it just fell onto the socket. When I attempted to fix it, the pin broke off. I tried to return it for repair, but they refused. It’s now being sent back. What are my chances that it will still function properly without the missing part? I could be lucky and only one RAM or PCI-E slot is affected. I’m planning to use 32GB RAM and just one GPU. Essentially, I’m hoping it works fine despite this issue.
