I can't post after overclocking my RAM.
I increased my PC's clock speed to 5ghz without any problems, but when I attempt to overclock the RAM to 3200, it fails to start after a restart. My system details are as follows: CPU i7 7700k, GPU asus 1060 dual 3gb, motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z270h, RAM Corsair Vengeance Led 3200 16gb, cooler Cooler Master Master Liquid 280m, and power supply Corsair CX650M 650w.
Is your system completely dead when you try to turn it on? Or is it running a loop to post?
Try taking out your battery on the motherboard for a few minutes and then put it back in.
You should not have issues with the PSU and the PC posting, unless there is a problem with the PSU.
it activates immediately while in use, but adjusting the RAM HZ wouldn't prevent it from stopping after a restart or shutting down; I'd need to power it off and on again.
The RAM speed either got overclocked when you turned it off and back on or it reset to its original factory setting.
it remained overclocked but shutting it down and restarting wouldn't cause the issue i had previously, so i reset it to auto just in case.
