Hey Everyone, I wanted to check if you guys can lend me some brains about something weird happening in my house and really appreciate any advice or tips you have. About two weeks ago our power went out fast and then came back on. I was using my PC at the time and when I tried to restart it, it would try to start up but end up freezing into this endless loop where it just keeps restarting itself. This PC is a little more than a year old here are my specs: Motherboard: MSI MAG X67E TOMAHAWK WIFI CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER RAM: GSKILL 2X16 32MB PSU: MSI MAG 850V COOLER: DARK ROCK 4 OS: Windows 11 I've tried a few things like swapping out the power supply which was the first thing I did but it still acts up. Then I bought a new SSD and swapped that in too but the problem is still there. I have even gotten into BIOS mode way too many times when I click on something inside the BIOS, the screen freezes up right away. I tried taking out my graphics card so I could use the built-in onboard graphics and it was acting the same bad way. I also tried removing the CMOS battery leaving it unplugged for a moment and trying again but nothing helped. It would finally start to boot up though, but at some point during the startup process it would either freeze or restart itself right away. Eventually I narrowed my guess down to thinking maybe my motherboard was broken or that CPU wasn't working. I took this thing all the way over to Microcenter because I had a warranty and honestly my heart went out when they told me they could actually boot up that board and CPU with no problem so since they were technically working not broken I couldn't just swap them for new ones. Here is the really weird part though, I went home and connected the motherboard straight to the power supply only attached my original SSD and one memory stick and it finally booted up and got to the desktop screen which I left running there for about 5-10 minutes. I got a little excited so I added that other memory stick back in and tried booting up again and again but every single time it still ended up getting to the desktop screen and then would freeze or restart after just sitting there for those five to ten minutes. It was actually running okay at first so I turned off the power, attached my cooler, audio cables, and USB connectors and when I finally booted up the exact same thing started happening with freezing during bootup and restarting all over again. The odd thing is though that every now and then it would just start to the desktop screen but freeze or restart a few seconds later. I noticed once everything was connected that those two fans on the front panel weren't working which I figured most likely wasn't the problem but I wanted to add that info also. At this point I am so confused as to what the issue could be that I've come here to beg for help. My brain is officially boggled. Thanks for any help anyone could offer.

It could be that a dead memory is in your channel, or maybe the electricity from your wall is really bad.

I plugged in my device with a surge protector, then moved to another one too. Even when I connected the power supply plug straight to the wall, it didn't work. Does anyone have a trick to figure out if that part is broken?

Use your first card from the other deck, or just put one single card into the second slot instead.

Maybe it's just bad luck and something in the computer crashed, but I think there is a chance it will work again. I should try fixing it by making a copy of everything before it stopped working, or maybe I can go back to where things were okay with an old system restore point made earlier when the power went out.

I have four memory stick slots, but trying every stick in every slot didn't help me. Even though I bought brand-new ones that should arrive tomorrow, they haven't arrived yet and I'm still stuck with nothing working.

I recall trying this very early in life. I will definitely give it another shot once my computer gets ready for the next step when it starts up. Every time before, it would freeze right after starting on a blank black screen.
