i can’t find my wifi adapter on my newly built pc please help.
Hello, welcome! I’m just starting out with computer setups and just finished building my first PC. Thanks a lot to Linux and everyone else for the support. After finishing the setup for Windows 10 Home, I can’t see my Wi-Fi adapters because I need them to install drivers. I’m still trying to figure out how to locate the missing adapter—even after checking Device Manager, services, and the control panel. Any tips would be really helpful. Thank you!
Get the drivers from the official download site (or the separate wifi adapter page) via a connected device or another computer.
Consider downloading the Armoury Crate driver, the Wireless WiFi driver, and the LAN driver together for optimal performance.
If a device exists without drivers, the Device Manager will show a yellow question mark. Examine it, locate the device ID, look it up online. Alternatively, visit the manufacturer's download page—most options are available there. If several similar entries appear (like different LAN versions), the maker may adjust settings in certain motherboard revisions, but installation will still report the device as missing.
