It's surprising how much time has passed since my last update here. To my surprise, it seems like more time has gone by than I thought. Still, I think I could benefit from your assistance on this situation. So, a while back—over two years ago—I posted about the artifacting problem I encountered with my gaming setup after replacing the motherboard during troubleshooting. [You can review that thread, but I made sure to mention key points clearly, even if it gives you a rough idea of what happened.] Recently, I received an update: just yesterday I switched from the RTX 2070 SUPER to a brand new RTX 4070 Ti. I assumed the problem was with the graphics card itself. But after installing the new GPU and updating my driver through GeForce Experience, the issue persisted! [Also, I used DDU to remove the old driver beforehand. Overall, aside from upgrading to an i7 10th Gen processor and switching to Windows 11, nothing changed much.] I revisited some of my previous posts about this topic to refresh my memory before writing this one, but I’ve considered a few possibilities now. I’d really appreciate your feedback to confirm my thoughts. From what I’ve experienced over the past couple of years, I suspect the fault might lie with the Displayport cable I’ve been using since the start. During a careful check, I didn’t spot any visible damage on the pins, and the card’s interface seemed fine. The only cable I had was the one from my monitor, which I inspected closely too. Unfortunately, I don’t have the right tools to test it properly—my background in IT is limited, and I haven’t worked in a repair shop. Still, I’d value your insights or suggestions. Would it be helpful to test the cable myself, or should I go ahead and try it out? In the meantime, please keep an eye on this and let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance for any help! Consider using a different cable, there isn't another option available

It seems you're questioning whether the issue lies with your cable. It might be challenging to pinpoint the exact problem without further testing.

Test the cable on a different system that is already functioning and observe the outcome

Five dollars on Amazon is likely the initial step to consider.

I had the option, but the issue is my PC is the only one built specifically for me, whereas my mom uses a full desktop with more ports and connections, which I noticed before.

What's being sold for five dollars on Amazon? You haven't mentioned the item...

Choose a cable. Start with the simplest option. If not, you probably already have an HDMI cable and a TV at home. Connect it to that device.

Sure, I see. It looks like we don’t have an HDMI port on the TV, but I can obtain a DisplayPort cable and test it.

Haha, do you own a TV? If yes, please extend my sympathy for its age—especially if it lacks HDMI. Yes, I’d begin with a cable; it’s the simplest and most affordable option to try first.
