I wouldn't risk my head for Plex. Most SmartTVs come with Plex pre-installed or can be added through the Store app. For an XBox One, that's a viable alternative if you're unsure. Certain SmartTVs support Windows media streaming. Others offer casting capabilities that Windows 10 handles (Samsung mainly uses its own exclusive tech). I remember another method, but it slipped my mind. Regarding networks: change your setting to Private, then adjust discovery options in Settings. Turn on network discovery and file/printer sharing for the private network. Enable the sharing feature in Network and Sharing Center. Make sure your TV supports encryption—choose 128-bit or 40/56-bit and disable the password if needed. Restart your PC after saving changes. For casting, open Settings > Devices > Bluetooth, add your TV, then use Windows Media Player 12 or Groove Music Player to stream content. You can also right-click media files and select "Cast to Device" to send them to your TV.
