Windows 8.1, I purchased it from the MS Store assuming I could get an ISO file and make a bootable USB drive.

It seems Microsoft currently lacks a compatible Mac version for their USB creator tool.

There are no guidance on the website. You’ll need SecureDownloadManager for mac to obtain the ISO. That worked for dreamspark windows.
