I can be either a competitive or casual player, or a blend of both.
I can be either a competitive or casual player, or a blend of both.
Between 1999 and 2004 I spent a lot of time playing CS and attending many LAN parties. I was really skilled but became overly serious about the game. When things didn’t go as planned, my mood would drop significantly. I often shouted at teammates, but it eventually improved. Now I just play for fun. On tough days I quit and do something else.
I enjoy playing games just for fun. Competitive play takes away from that for me. Many players treat things too seriously, which ruins the experience for everyone. The way the community acts is part of why I steer clear of games like LoL and CS:GO.
