The Netgear Orbi is now on sale at half price. Would you be interested in purchasing it? If so, I'm curious—will connecting it to your existing router affect its performance? Also, do you want your current router to maintain a distinct guest network?

It functions properly, though devices connected to the existing router will join a separate network, preventing communication between them but still providing internet access—ideal for guest connections. Many consumer routers offer an option to create a guest network. The security level on these setups is uncertain. To keep everything on the same network, configure the secondary router in bridged mode.

This setup should fit right out of the box without any extra steps. I don’t need security concerns or network data exchange. You’d keep the original router for the parent TV and laptop, and add new ones for the rest.

Even though it’s rough and isn’t the top choice for everything you need, it will still work as a plug-and-play solution.
