I reside in a housing complex that offers internet via Railwire. When we move in, we receive Zyxel routers, but I can't modify them because the walls contain RJ11 ports, and I don’t have the funds to replace them. My issue is configuring the NAT type—every tutorial I’ve found hasn’t helped. Could someone assist me?

It varies based on the setup you're using. You can have uPNP handle it automatically, though this may affect security. Alternatively, you might need to forward ports for the service. Your ISP could be applying CG-NAT, making a public IP necessary unless you rent one. What are the initial two digits of your router's WAN IP?

Research showed RailWire is an Indian internet service provider. Users experiencing NAT problems, particularly with gaming consoles, needed to contact RailWire support to get a static IP address linked to their account.

You need to set it up for your PS4 with NAT type 3 by default. The uPNP is already active in the settings, but port forwarding hasn’t resolved the issue. I’ve also spoken to customer support, who mentioned they don’t use CG-NAT and seemed unsure about the matter. It’s likely your ISP is using CG-NAT, though there’s no clear information online about it. The WAN IP is 19.

Consider it necessary to adopt a karen mindset and persist in your efforts until they respond.
