I've seen my MSI GS65 9sD processor experience thermal throttling. CPU temperatures hit 95°C even when idle, yet games like BeamNG run at 3-11 FPS on low settings. The GPU stays at 15-25% usage and stays mostly idle. It's confusing—what should I do first?

If your laptop is idle and the temperatures are high, take a look at the task manager to identify any background processes. You can narrow results by CPU usage, which will show you the running tasks and highlight the ones consuming most resources. It could be a malware such as a coin miner that’s running in the background. These are often designed to operate quietly when you’re not using the computer, so they can go unnoticed.

Missed mentioning if you're unfamiliar with PCs, to launch the task manager. Right-click on an available free space in the bottom bar and select 'taskmanager.' You can also find it via the Windows search bar. No worries if you're already aware of this. As shown in the screenshot below, my overall CPU consumption at that moment was 9%, with the top processes listed and their respective usage details.
