Twitch sets a maximum bitrate of 8000kbps for non-partner viewers. To ensure smooth playback, your download speed should align with this upload rate. For 1080p60 streams you'll need around 5000kbps, and 1080p30 about 4000kbps. Your upload can handle up to 8000kbps, but quality may drop unless your connection is perfect. As a non-partner, Twitch will reduce speed if needed. You’ll likely lose frames due to unstable internet or hardware issues. To keep streaming, it’s best to lower quality. Ultimately, most viewers prioritize content over technical specs.

The Twitch upload limit is 6000k, not 8000k, which is sufficient for about 900p at 60fps without appearing low quality. I’ve shared detailed settings in other threads so Streamlabs can achieve high-quality streams while keeping FPS stable.
