Hello, I'm looking to purchase an Xeon kit from AliExpress and am unsure which processor to choose. I've checked benchmarks online; for example, the Passmark scores show a difference of around 1000 points, with the 2683 v4 scoring 17388 points versus the 2690 v3 at 16453. However, I'm not sure if this really makes a big difference. Right now, my system uses an i5-9400f, and I need more cores for video editing, gaming, or multitasking. While I've seen some i7 and i9 models, they're usually priced higher than the motherboard and CPU kits I have in mind, and their performance seems better than the i7 or similar to the ninth-gen i9. I’d aim for 2690v4 since it’s 20% faster than 2683v4. Keep in mind these might have many cores but run at lower speeds (2-2.4GHz).

they would perform worse than typical games if it were just a game. most games aren't built to handle that many cores.
