Hey there! I'm just getting started with networking. You're looking to purchase a switch for your home, and you found a Cisco model that seems affordable but lacks reviews. Can someone help you decide? Also, you want to know if you can set up a VLAN using pfSense on this device. Do you know if it's managed or unmanaged? The model you mentioned is the Cisco SF95D-08-IN with 8 ports. Thanks!

You're looking for Cisco equipment, familiar with their CLI. That 100m switch sounds like a basic model—consider upgrading to a gigabit switch now. For VLANs, you'll need a managed switch since those require setup. I think the Netgear GS108E works fine, but there are better options available. A solid web interface would also be helpful.
