You're looking to fully reset your Windows 10 laptop, but you don't have the installation media. You're unsure about the steps. Just make sure to back up any important data first, and follow the reset process carefully to restore it to a clean state.

To sell the laptop effectively, it must be in perfect condition, just like a brand new device. This ensures customers trust its performance and value.

Go to Settings, then System, Recovery, and select Reset this PC. It will handle everything without saving anything.

I don’t need to sell anything. You’re dealing with a lot of outdated files and programs that are causing your computer to slow down.

You might want to pick the download from cloud. Don’t worry, I understand if you’re not comfortable with computers.

Join the discussions here! Lurick has the right point. However, I don’t feel comfortable using this approach without solid reasons. Instead, grab your activation key—either on the sticker on your laptop or via a command prompt: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey—and install it again from a USB drive.

Yes, a 16GB USB stick is sufficient for most purposes.

The 16GB stick works well. In that scenario, you should be able to log back in using your account.

You can simply restart via settings, but for a clean wipe, use a USB drive and install there. When Windows prompts to choose the drive, format it as needed.
