I need assistance moving everything from one Windows 10 installation to another on the same SSD. I’ve been using a questionable version of Windows 10 for a while now, and it keeps showing that annoying activation message. I’m planning to purchase a genuine copy but want to transfer all my installed apps, files, and settings from the unofficial version to the legitimate one. Thanks for taking the time to read and help.

You can create a disc image or backup using Windows tools, then transfer it to another machine. It depends on having a Windows disc copy or possibly a USB version available.

With a Windows 10 product key, you can enable it on your existing system without needing to reinstall. Make sure your Windows version matches the key edition you own.

I'll give it another shot later. It seems like this could work well. The issue with the fake version is that it blocks my ability to proceed. I'm not sure what's causing it.

It seems odd what occurred. After installing a genuine Windows 10 copy on the SSD, an unauthorized version appeared to be validated too. The activation message no longer shows up.
