I can't see that it should be a problem. I've made tons of disk images files while doing other stuff. Both windows and linux ones.

The main risks are either an interruption or termination of the backup, resulting in an incomplete or unusable file, or something causing corruption of the file itself—uncommon unless you've experienced issues before. Watching YouTube videos won't affect this process; it may slightly consume system resources and slow down the backup, but that's all. You can safely proceed without concern.
