Hello! I'm working on bringing my old custom gaming PC back to factory settings for resale. After restoring it, it came back to Windows 8 even though I upgraded to Windows 10 five years ago. I'm curious—can someone upgrade the system to Windows 10 and do they require an activation key? Thanks!

Yes, they can switch to W10 at no cost. The promotion has already been discontinued for a long time.
