I’ve been considering a switch to a new motherboard after seeing options like the Ryzen 3700X and Tomahawk B450 Max on Amazon (UK). I found a Ryzen 3700X for £260 and a B450 Max for £100, so I thought about making the change. I’m worried about the timing—those 4000 series chips are still in production, and I’m unsure how much of a difference it would make. Plus, I’ve read that the 7700K remains a solid CPU, so I’m torn between staying with what I have now or upgrading to something newer.

This is partly because of my previous choices and the B250M-DS3H model in particular. I’m running into problems like insufficient clearance for the GPU and RAM, making it hard to remove components without risking damage. There are also not enough fan headers for all my case fans, which adds to the frustration.
