You're facing a common issue with dual-booting on an EFI system. To boot directly from the GRUB .efi file, you'll need to adjust your boot configuration. Check your BIOS/UEFI settings for options related to GRUB or EFI boot selection. If available, enable the "GRUB boot menu" or "GRUB select" feature during setup. You may also need to modify the GRUB configuration file (usually located at /boot/grub/grub.cfg) to prioritize your Linux EFI file. If these steps don't work, consult your laptop's manufacturer documentation for specific instructions.

I don't believe it can handle that. You usually have to pick which OS to launch at startup, and I used to do that with two operating systems on my old computer. You need to show Options and select one.

Have you attempted to reinstall Grub 2 from Mint? You can try pressing and holding the Shift key during boot to see if the Grub menu appears. If it isn’t accessible, a full reinstall of Grub might be necessary. If the Mint setup is still current, you may find it simpler to reinstall Mint entirely.
