Hello, I'm trying to upgrade my CPU but I'm not sure if it will fit with my motherboard. I know it needs the correct socket and RAM speed, but I also think there might be other compatibility issues. Can someone confirm if switching from an Intel i5 3740s to something like an i7 3770k on a Dell Special board is feasible? My motherboard is the latest A13 model with the newest BIOS available. Thanks for any advice!

Because they’re both from the third generation, there’s little chance it won’t work. Think about an i7 2600—it’d cost significantly less while still offering similar performance.
