I purchased an F4 model. Is it possible to download it on another PC? What happens if I change the format of my computer—remains it functional? Can I share it with others without impacting my own copy?

You must provide your original account to receive a copy. It can be set up on different machines, but only one device can use it at once. Your friends need to purchase the game to join online play.

You can download it on another PC as well. The link connects to your Origin account just like Steam does. If you install Origin on that other machine, you’ll be able to download it there too. If you change the PC’s format, it should still work fine. Since Origin is cloud-based, you never really own a physical copy—just like with Steam. You can’t share your account with others, but you can give the download link to them without affecting your own access. Only one person can use the account at a time, so sharing the link won’t let both of you play together.

You can use it on other PCs as long as they have the same software installed.

Install Origin and download BF4 onto that computer. Although I haven’t used this approach before, I suggest keeping the game files on an external drive to avoid re-downloading the 27.2GB every time you switch PCs. This method hasn’t been tried by me personally.

For me to join the game online, I need something fresh. Using copied content isn’t allowed.

You must have an Origin account containing BF4 to access the online version. There are no pirated versions available for online play.
