I can access the internet, but installing apps isn't working.
So basically on Saturday my internet dropped, I booked a technician from my ISP, and today they arrived, everything was okay again—games like Fortnite were working fine. But then I noticed my devices couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi (the PC was using Ethernet). I followed all the troubleshooting steps—restarting the modem, resetting it—but suddenly my PC loaded webpages slowly or not at all. I tried opening Origin and saw I was offline. I restarted my PC and only Google and YouTube worked normally, while sites like Steam, Epic, Origin, and Minecraft failed. The ISP said I’m offline. I called them, and they followed standard procedures. Later, my Mac connected to Wi-Fi unexpectedly, but my phone kept saying “Obtaining IP address” and the connection dropped. My PC lost internet after a restart, and now only some sites load properly. I’m confused—what should I do? I already have an appointment tomorrow and need advice from others who’ve had similar issues.
Check if you can gauge download speed on your PC. This issue likely points to a modem problem; contact the provider to request a replacement.
