router: netgear nighthawk X6 r8000 former modem: cm700 new (problem) modem: netgear cm1000 I ran some tests using DLSR reports and found problems linked to the puma chip. It wasn’t a major issue, but I was looking for a better modem anyway. When I contacted my ISP to turn on the modem, nothing changed. I keep seeing ping spikes during games, and neighbors complain about buffering and slow connections. I reset the router, updated the firmware, and even cleared wireless interference, but nothing fixed it. I checked cables, bandwidth usage on connected devices, and even called the ISP for updates or outages. Any advice would mean a lot since my connection was so dependable before.

It's highly likely every 32-channel Docsis 3.0 modem includes the Puma 6 chip. That's why many recommend Docsis 3.1 for a 32-channel setup.
