Hey, I saw some high temperatures on my GPU recently after replacing the paste and cleaning it a few weeks back. The fans are spinning way faster than usual. I think I might have damaged the thermal pads while removing the cooler, which could be why things are heating up. Should I order new thermal pads or is there another issue I should check first? Also, I’m curious about the temperatures and fan speeds listed for this model.

The GPU hotspot isn't influenced by thermal pads—they're meant for VRMs and VRAM. Have you checked if the thermal paste was applied properly and if the GPU is reinstalled correctly? Swapping thermal pads won't change this.

Thanks! I'll do a bit of testing and see how it turns out.

I adjusted the screws slightly and lowered the hot spot temperatures by 10°C. It seems I made a mistake when reattaching it. I plan to rebuild it later this evening and hope it returns to normal. Thanks again.

I’m not sure if I got the plate that secures the GPU in the correct position. The fan speed dropped to half, and I reached 106 RPM shortly after I started running Furmark.
