Yesterday I faced unexpected black screens with no cursor, and changing the graphics driver didn’t resolve the issue. After several reboots in safe mode, using DDU, and a Windows reinstall, I’m stuck on troubleshooting steps. Right now, I’ve reinstalled Windows 11 and updated the Nvidia drivers every few days. The behavior changes depending on the driver version: normal operation with drivers 537 and below, but GPU appears in low power mode, and performance drops to around 15 FPS during tasks like Heaven or Superposition. Tools like GPU-Z and HW-Info aren’t showing any data. With drivers newer than 545, I see a black screen after entering the password, followed by an instant restart at first boot and another Black Screen of Death after entering the password again. Drivers older than that cause a black screen right after the password screen and a full system reboot on the second try. I’ve tried reinstalling drivers, used DDU, installed Windows on a new drive (clean install), performed a power cycle, cleared CMOS, and tested each HDMI and DP port with just one monitor. What remains is reinstalling a new BIOS on my card—since it’s a single BIOS card, I’m hesitant but determined to try. My guess is the card itself may be failing. Please help, I really need guidance.
