Expecting around 4.6GHz on a single core for a 3600 MHz chip under normal conditions. Doing 4.6 across all cores would be excellent, though it might need some manual adjustments.

Sure, the max boost for the 3600 is 4.2 GHz, even with just one core. I just checked it myself and never exceeded 4.2GHz. It’s unclear why they set 4.6 as the normal range—maybe they’re confusing it with the 5600, which does go up to 4.6GHz. @British_pasta69, your explanation seems a bit off; overclocking should push it higher, but reaching 4.6 on stock performance is unusual.

I tested it by checking the task manager.

Initially I relied on task manager, but its precision was limited, so I tried an alternative. I ran tests with Prime95 and OCCT, plus CPUID HWMonitor to verify actual performance gains. It turned out my CPU barely reduced clock speed—it remained close to its base setting even when testing a single thread, as the workload balanced across cores. I achieved around 4175 MHz on all cores during single-thread testing. Interesting—any suggestions for a more effective method?

I ran the test on Cinebench R20 and achieved 4.31ghz. My machine is also overclocked to that level, but it's outperforming his scores. It looks like he's using a 5600X processor.

It's funny how it can happen to everyone. I guess some kids end up finding out they have a huge number or a special chip, which makes them think about selling it, haha!

I installed the system from CyberPower and noticed a 4.6GHz frequency in the BIOS settings.
