I purchased a used Xeon E5 2670 with eight cores and sixteen threads to extract samples for testing. Without applying any chemicals or sandpaper, I successfully divided the die layer—just a few microns thick—into two separate dies. I then selected two CPU dies in the time it would take to delaminate an entire Xeon. This feat is impressive; you can confirm no chemical treatment was used since the package retained its original green color. The presence of cracks and slight tarnish indicates I performed a straightforward brute-force extraction, without any sanding or abrasive work.

It seems your E5-2690 processors are quite similar across your setups.

If it doesn’t have any hidden details behind its name, this Xeon model also features eight cores and sixteen threads, just like the other one but with faster clock speeds.

Only the V1 model is available, it supports up to 3.8 and runs on base version 2.9.

Absolutely, significantly above the typical 2.6 to 3.3 GHz range.
