I believe I damaged my B550 after the update.
I attempted to refresh my BIOS settings for the B550 Aorus Pro AC due to RAM issues. After the update, I encountered a blank screen and waited five minutes before restarting, but the problem persists. Seeking advice on possible solutions.
Ensure your motherboard supports a BIOS flashback feature. Review your user guide for details.
Remove the CMOS battery and put it back in to refresh the system settings. I'm not sure if this is correct, but it could help.
I'm working with q-flash now, but it doesn't seem to function properly. The steps say to get the right file and rename it to GIGABYTE.bin, yet the LED on my motherboard stays steady without blinking. My keyboard and mouse are turned on, but that's all I've managed so far.
I didn't damage the motherboard and the BIOS update worked fine. After spending a lot of time trying to understand what happened, I didn’t think the settings I had set would have been wiped out by the update. Because the B550 supports a 4th generation PCIe slot, my vertical GPU stand with its 3rd generation PCIe riser wasn’t compatible. So I just connected my card normally and it started up correctly!
