Motherboard is an ASUS B-350 Plus with a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU. The PSU is an EVGA 430W. I’m upgrading from a 1050 to a 2070 Super (both shown). My setup uses a 450W non-modular PSU, which worked fine with the 1050 Ti but stopped working after switching to the 2070 Super. I connected the PSU via a daisy-chained PCI power cable (shown) and then swapped in the 1050, which also lost its display. Can you help?

To ensure everything works properly, could you confirm if you're connecting the monitor to the motherboard's output?

I confirmed it went to the GPU and tested various cables.

You seem to have overlooked some important details regarding power and quality in the PSU.

Keep it running, but the previous GPU is no longer functional.

Many people have suggested I consider upgrading your PSU. Ideally something around 550, but a 650 would be better. The main things that come to mind are repositioning the cables on your PSU end and making sure they’re securely connected to your GPU. You might also try disconnecting your PC from power for a few minutes, pressing the power button to discharge the capacitors, then reconnecting and switching it on.

The year 2070 will require significantly more energy than the 1050 model. It's time to replace your power supply unit.

Erase the CMOS, try again. After switching the GPU, have you performed any additional steps such as applying new thermal paste or reinstalling RAM?
