I attempted to boost my RAM speed on the Asus x470 Prime motherboard by using the "e z" settings from 2400 to its rated 3000. I simply changed the target and let the board handle it. After the first boot, I removed the CMOS battery but still had no improvement.

I also tweaked the fan curves extensively. The system powers on, the RGB syncs correctly, yet I don’t see any GPU display signal. I tried connecting the display via a different port to HDMI, but that didn’t work. I removed and reinserted the GPU and RAM multiple times, with no results.

My mouse and keyboard take too long to activate, and there are no sounds from the motherboard. My BIOS froze during the first overclock attempt before I saved; did something like that affect my setup?

Disconnect the power from the supply or wall outlet. Take out the motherboard's CMOS battery for five minutes. While doing so, press and hold the case power button for thirty seconds. Once the five minutes are over, put the CMOS battery back in. Reconnect the power and turn on the system to check if it starts up.

Disconnect the power from the supply or wall outlet. Take out the motherboard's CMOS battery and let it rest for five minutes. While waiting, press and hold the case power button for thirty seconds. Once done, put the battery back in and restart the system to check if it boots up.

I didn't completely clear the CMOS. I assumed taking it out for a short time would fix it. That was a beginner error, thanks.

I just wanted to let you know how useful you are to me and the tech community. No one online seems to know how to properly CMOS a Gigabyte motherboard or any MOBO except you. Thank you so much for solving my problem—it really made a difference. You deserve recognition!
