I attempted to increase my RAM speed and noticed one of my fans is operating at -55C?
Hello, I recently attempted to adjust my RAM speed to its advertised setting of 3600, but it then displayed a black screen and increased the fans to high speeds. I looked online and suggested removing the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS, which worked when I pressed reset on my PC and restored the BIOS. After resetting the computer, Windows booted up normally except for one fan. Since I don’t have a fan hub and only have two fan slots on my B550 gaming x motherboard, I connected the final fan using the CPU opt slot, and it functioned perfectly. Now the system doesn’t run and shows a CPU temperature of -55°C, while the others are at 500 RPM and the CPU fan at 700 RPM. Is the fan configuration incorrect or is there a solution?
Hello there! Could you share the details about your RAM setup and the BIOS version on your motherboard?
I have a CPU fan and four others. I connected the CPU fan to its header, three fans to the system fan headers, and the remaining one to the CPU opt header. That specific one is the one that isn't working properly.
Apologies for the lack of clarity.
When you remove the fan from the 'cpu opt header' (it’s unclear if it’s the water cooler header), does the CPU temperature display accurately?
