Most of your issues stem from multi-platform games. I own around 14 titles, five of which are available on consoles—those seem to cause the most problems lately. What’s going on? Why is Hitman 2 freezing and Sekiro giving me trouble? I’ve just upgraded my GPU with the newest drivers, hoping it’ll help. I don’t have the patience or determination to keep troubleshooting endlessly. Everything worked fine before, but now it’s not. This needs to function properly.

sekiro is considered one of the poorest ports according to what I've heard. Largely due to significant problems with the game.

It makes logical sense. Ports are translations, and that never reaches a perfect 100%.

I've faced problems with most of my games, including PC exclusives, particularly on my older machine. The new PC has significantly improved the overall experience. The 'console ports' have been the biggest source of frustration lately. I get why they were built that way for console play, but if a game runs well on consoles, it should work fine on a decent PC. It's just the development timeline for Rockstar Games. Still, these performance issues are unacceptable, especially since these games were released a few years ago. The bugs and quirks shouldn't exist now.

Yeah, the driver update didn't do shit, just like I thought. This is why I can't fucking wait to migrate over to the console. I'm waiting on that Xbox Series X. You don't see these issues nearly as much if at all on the console versions. From there on in, my multiplayer games in particular will be on the console, especially if its a console port. I had more fun playing multiplayer games on the console than I ever did in my entire tenure as a PC gamer the last 20 off years anyway. And people wonder why the mainstream market is still and always will be the console. You just can't beat a hassle free experience.

No single PC game runs flawlessly for everyone all the time. Many factors can affect performance.

They often pretend they’re fine while they’re not, saying things like they’ll never have a problem in 20 years. Some will say there’s no real issue that can’t be solved, but that’s just a dishonest stance. This applies especially to PC gaming—someone’s always trying to fix the game instead of the company. It’s only the gaming and tech industries that manage to avoid consequences without facing penalties or lawsuits. I don’t think the aviation sector would operate like this, nor should it. These companies need to stay accountable.

I use both a console and a PC, enjoying each one. I usually play different games, but they sometimes overlap. While I notice the lower graphics on consoles, I focus more on gameplay than visual quality. What works best depends on you. If the PC feels too complicated or frustrating, switching might be a good idea. Wishing you success!

I'm not making a full switch to the console just yet; only specific titles will be available then. Multi-platform releases are coming to the console because they've been the biggest headache for me. Multiplayer titles will also be supported, like the upcoming Battlefield games. A few single-player experiences might remain on PC, depending on individual decisions. I want to maintain the Hitman series on PC, but their performance on it was so poor that I lost confidence in them after they didn't optimize Hitman 2 properly.
