The current strategy involves using three 5700xts at 100$ each, a well-known mobo with a custom frame, and buying three risers for the device to fit inside a glass tank filled with mineral oil. I have limited experience with miners or operating tanks, but I believe the best approach would be to thoroughly clean the 57xts before placing them in the cleaned tank. Maintain an airtight seal and change the oil periodically to eliminate impurities. Once that’s done, adding a motor that circulates the oil could help maintain good contact on the chip. I was thinking about using 98% isopropyl with a tight seal and a strong motor for fast flow, but after some research it seems less practical than expected.
I need more information about why I posted this. I'm seeking advice on which components to prioritize and the most effective way to cool the GPUs, as well as whether it's a worthwhile investment. I was considering a triple 57xt configuration on a GPU-optimized group miner for around 400-500 dollars, hoping it could break even within a year or so. I'm completely unsure and don't know much about this. Please fix any mistakes :3
Crypto mining with GPUs is no longer viable. At standard US electricity rates, the Nicehash calculator shows a profitability of negative $0.40 per day. If you try to persuade someone else to cover your electricity bill, you end up earning less than $1 per day.
