I run Windows 11 and follow these steps to raise FPS by 1. First, turn off Control Flow Guard for the game's .exe file in Settings under App & browser control. This helps because it can cause stuttering and lower frame rates. Only enable it for trusted programs. Next, include your game directory in Microsoft Defender’s exclusions so the antivirus doesn’t block it unnecessarily. This reduces extra processing during gameplay. You should also disable Core Isolation Memory Integrity to avoid performance drops. Turn off Virtual Machine Platform in Device Security to cut down on extra VM overhead. Make sure no interrupt request lines are shared for your hardware via Device Manager. Ensure your USB devices connect directly to the CPU’s USB controller, not through a third-party chipset or external controllers like Asmedia or Genesis Logic. Keep your Ethernet drivers up to date—Intel i225/i226 models may have stability problems; updating can help. Check BIOS settings for AMD and consider disabling TSME if you don’t need extra security. Lastly, adjust your firmware for the relevant chipset to minimize latency issues.

The simple answer is to run on Windows 10 instead of disabling all the performance issues in Windows 11!

I tried Windows 11, but I don’t like it. The performance matches Windows 10 exactly, and I didn’t make any changes. Most of the advice seems to suggest disabling security features, which isn’t a good idea.
