I tackled this problem about three years ago and now I’m finally facing it again. When I set up my first and current PC, I had no idea about anything except everything functioned except for this one issue. My setup includes an SSD for the C: drive, two HDDs (for work) and another E: drive (for games/mass storage). I realized that files in these quick-access folders would end up on the SSD C: drive, so I changed the location settings to point to alternative drives I made on E:. But something went wrong—probably one of them got altered. Now all the files are appearing in the same folder I intended, following the properties of the Desktop folder, which is really frustrating. I can’t rename them anything other than Desktop since the field is grayed out. Any solutions? Would it be simpler to wipe the SSD and start fresh, especially since I only have Office and Adobe installed? Thanks! (Finished writing this—just noticed 3D Objects works fine...)
