I accidentally got a little liquid all over my HP Victus 15 laptop.
I broke my Malt drink on my laptop screen and spilled it everywhere, but not much. Most of the liquid went onto the keyboard right next to the screen and some got into the air vents too. I turned the computer off right away and flipped it upside down. After taking it home (about an hour since I was at school), I took everything out. I unplugged all the wires, took out the battery, the cooler, and the fans. There were tiny bits of spilled liquid on the back side. One drop right in the middle of the bare board itself, no other parts there, a few drops on the coolers, and one drop over the hard drive heads. I washed the whole board with alcohol wipes (the only thing I had) and let it stay open under a fan for 24 hours. I tried turning it on a while ago and it works fine now. But since booting up today, there is a tiny buzzing sound that comes from where the CPU should be. At first I thought it was my speakers because the noise sounds like what they make. Then I checked again and found out it's actually coming from the board itself. I looked at some websites and even Dell said this kind of noise happens often. So far, with the laptop turned off, everything seems okay. Would anyone else give me any tips?
