Your hyper X cloud stinger headset is connected and should work, but your PC isn’t recognizing it. The connections look secure, and you’ve checked the ports, so the issue might be with your computer itself. Could there be a problem with the device or its compatibility?

Your device struggles to identify headphones because it functions as an analog unit, but USB connectivity might be the key. It seems to detect the audio controller instead.

You're already there. It will always be under "sound, video and game controllers" This is a screenshot of mine.

it isn't appearing in my system either—it seems to be completely absent from my PC. i recently performed a full reset to check if it was just a software glitch, but the headset remains undetectable.

They have a different setup, the Schiit Unison Modius is an external DAC I own, you don’t. Are you hearing sound through your headphones? If yes, then it’s already functioning as intended. Your sound controller is likely the NVIDIA Sound DAC connected to your monitor.

No audio is present; everything plays through the PC. I can't adjust my headset settings because it isn't recognized as a device, which makes me concerned about detection by the computer.

Check the official website for your PRIME H310M-E motherboard. If you're confident your audio drivers are up-to-date, you can proceed with the installation.

Consider where you connect your headset—front panel or rear. It’s possible the front panel jacks aren’t linked. You might have turned off the built-in sound card in the BIOS. Also, ensure you have the correct audio drivers installed. Try using a different connection point, like wherever your speakers are plugged in. That should resolve the issue.
