The answer is straightforward: disable XMP. If not, you'll need to do a manual overclock gradually, starting cautiously and testing different settings.

3700X struggles with 128GB RAM under high OC conditions. The safest option is to grab two sticks and aim for 2667MHz to 2933MHz stability—anything better could work. Even then, it might still cap at 2400MHz. The reason for the 128GB? It’s not used by Facebook at all.

I thought maybe streaming could help, but it's usually manageable on 32GB and you'd have a better chance of moderate overclocks beyond Jedec speeds. That hasn't been done yet. DDR4 Jedec speeds range from 1600 to 2667mhz. You could use a 2400mhz rated memory set and it would perform at that rate. People with unregistered ECC memory often encounter similar issues. Some reach stability near 2933mhz in certain discussions, but usually, with that much RAM installed, they're limited to Jedec frequencies. Hope this clears things up! No need to worry about upsetting anyone here. Just wanted to share a bit more detail for clarity. The humor comes from how everything seems connected, like friends and social media go hand in hand. Good luck with your overclock!

Not an issue at all, and I’m also sorry if my tone came across that way. I prefer avoiding overused phrases online, especially in anonymous chats. I understand now it was meant as a lighthearted joke. I plan to take a break this weekend with a coffee, explore some options, and see if I can get a solid 3950x that meets the 3000mhz requirement. Appreciate the message!
