Yes, some systems work well despite hyperthreading. For instance, i3 with two cores and HT delivers strong performance similar to an i5. However, i7 with four cores and HT behaves more like an i5 since games don't fully utilize eight cores.

Several games now require more than two cores or threads, with some utilizing even higher thread counts.

Several titles rely on it. Generally, any game that performs well on an i3 works fine. http://techbuyersguru.com/haswellgaming4.php

Many titles are available, including BF4, Witcher 3, GTA V, and Cities Skyline. Listing them all isn't possible. I also noticed BF4 can run on more than four threads sometimes. Check out this video for more details.

In top-tier games I really excel, but Pentium struggles that way, which is why we no longer suggest it.
