I dislike pre-order culture. You guys caused Assassin's Creed Unity to come about.

It seems the topic is related to a game developer, likely Ubisoft.

Would have been on the PC 18 months prior or at the time of its release. It wasn't worth spending money on a game I've already completed.

Regardless of the developer or publisher, the issue stems from pre-order culture.

Unity stemmed from a flawed business model, not from pre-ordering.

Even though everyone acknowledges Ubisoft has some flaws, pre-ordering still seems to back certain business habits since you're purchasing something with limited details about it.

Not really, folks usually pre-order games without understanding their status. Ubisoft releases half-baked versions mainly to boost sales. I find it surprising—did you know that some dogs broke Ubi sales records? It’s a mess across three platforms, with issues like 900 p 30 fps and problems on the computer.

I understand it's generally not a good idea to preorder games, but Unity falls short because Ubisoft aimed to exploit the storyline.

I placed the order ahead of time. I need to start the game on day one and have it ready to go. The perks from pre-ordering will be useful. I don’t have any issues with it, just stay smart while doing so.
