when i create a world or join one, i experience extremely large FPS drops from 500 to 3 every second.
playing every other game at medium or high settings works fine, but i’m unsure what’s causing the issue.
i’ve played it many times lately and have this problem now—what should i do?
is it a cache or something else that’s affecting performance?
What is your monitor refresh rate? Consider reducing your FPS to roughly double it. I experienced very high GPU consumption and odd problems before adjusting the in-game graphics settings, which helped resolve the issue.
Strange... I've never used any RTX or GTX GPU before. Try this in the following order. 1. Turn on fast render. Fast math. Smooth FPS, smooth world and VBO's. If these don't work, uninstall your GPU drivers and install the latest version from Nvidia's site. If you have integrated graphics, ensure Minecraft is set to use the high-performance GPU. Let me know how it goes.
Have you attempted to allocate additional memory for the game? It's possible to adjust this in the launcher's configuration options.
