I'm checking if it's feasible to restore the standard Windows 10 volume overlay instead of the current Huawei setup. (Lowering the volume here fully silences all audio, but with the default it won't mute unless a keyboard is connected.) You can view a visual example in the attached screenshot.

I’d check the install programs for a Hauwei audio manager and remove it. Alternatively, I could open Device Manager and switch to Windows Generic for audio settings.
