I'm really stuck in a big debate. Right now I can choose between the Oculus Rift for $300 or the HTC Vive for $350. I've been weighing this for weeks.

I might take the Rift, though that depends on your choice.

the system supports greater motion across a wider space compared to the rift.

The Vive's tracking is better than the Rift. I've only used the Rift, but I've heard excellent reviews for both.

The new version is an amazing upgrade. Choose the updated one—you won’t wish you missed it.

Only for extremely large spaces can you allocate room for VR. This is just personal preference. While there are points to discuss about the Vive, saying "much better" is completely incorrect.

It depends on which controller you prefer most, since they vary a lot.

That would be a significant improvement. Two fewer is much better.

Oculus controllers perform better. They spent another six months refining them. Valve has been highlighting their finger controllers for some time, though they might eventually release improved versions, with no details on a release date.

Thanks for the kind words! I’m leaning toward the Oculus Rift because it’s $50 less, offers smoother controls, and even if I get the Vive, I don’t have enough space for roomscale VR—just a small 10ft area is all I need.
