Has anyone tried installing 64gigs of RAM in this model before? I'm curious if it would work.

HP states a maximum of 8GB per slot, with 2 slots available. Therefore, 64GB is not possible.

Thanks, I understand you placed 64gigs on an Alienware 17 R4 which only showed a maximum of 32gigs in the specs, so you were seeking real-world feedback instead of relying on spec sheets. Appreciate it!

I don't believe it's possible to reach 32GB DIM's for DDR3L. The Alienware 17 R4 runs DDR4, which supports 32GB DIM's, meaning you wouldn't be surprised to achieve 64GB.
