HP Spectre x360 with 8GB RAM for gaming performance
The issue is that three years feels like a long time. Right now we're at a stage where moving from 4-core CPUs to 6+ cores and increasing RAM from 8 to 16 GB is happening. This year there might be fewer mainstream games needing multicore performance and more RAM, but we can't predict what will come next. That's why I wouldn't purchase a laptop without expansion options if it's meant for gaming or heavy tasks.
I understand, this 8GB RAM configuration seems risky for the coming semester... it’s disappointing to hear about the potential performance issues. I just hope the memory limitations won’t be too severe and that the M.2 SSD lets me run 2022 titles at today’s Mankind Divided settings with 1080p at 60fps.
