I have an HP Officejet 2620 with a scanner that handles A4 pages. I use the HP Smart App to scan from my printer directly to my desktop, and everything works fine until I press save as PDF. When I open the saved file in Adobe Acrobat, it says the page is 26 inches by 34 inches, which is way too big for a normal piece of paper. What am I doing wrong?

Check out the HP app on your phone instead, maybe it gets a faster result for you.

It probably won't measure 26 by 34 inches if printed on regular A4 paper. But if your picture is too big for the page, just scan it with a low setting instead of trying to fit it all in one go.

It won't be huge when printed, but my uni sends these online and they check Turnitin. Turnitin doesn't show up because it's in the original size of 26 by 34 inches. I don't worry too much about how big the file is in MBs. Just trying to figure out how to stop it from getting bigger than an A0 page. The scan resolution is set to 300 dpi, and even if I change the page size settings to Letter or A4, nothing happens.

Why bother with the complicated app? Just try the HP program on your own computer and check if it works better.

I think that's right, and you can see a special box on my computer desktop now.
