I’m working on installing an ASUS PCE-AXE5400 WiFi card in your HP ProDesk 600 G2 (SFF). The card functions properly, but the Bluetooth feature requires a standard 9-pin USB 2.0 header. Your motherboard only has a yellow 12-pin “SD RDR” header, which doesn’t appear to serve that purpose. I understand there’s a rumor it can act as a USB 2.0 port, but HP has locked it in firmware. Can you try using a USB-A to 9-pin cable instead? I’d appreciate any suggestions if this isn’t an option. Thanks!

You connected it to the initial nine pins. The thread suggests that might be a viable fix. For customizing an OEM mini PC, accept some performance limitations. A PCIe USB card could also be a good alternative.

Thanks for your response! I saw that post on Reddit as well. There’s only one way to plug the 9-pin in, since the 10th hole is blocked. Yeah, I think I’ll go with the cable or a USB Bluetooth dongle (it’s actually cheaper here). The PCIe cards I found are just too expensive for this PC. Thanks again!
