HP Model 3168NGW keyboard issues (fixing problems)
The HP Model 3168NGW laptop running Windows 10 Pro is experiencing unusual keyboard behavior. Pressing numbers at the top yields incorrect characters, like using an exclamation mark instead of one. Shift key doesn’t resolve the issue. All keys appear in uppercase. Caps lock switches them to lowercase, but numbers remain unchanged. The numpad functions intermittently. Both wired and USB keyboards behave similarly. I’ve checked keyboard settings, sticky keys, and even swapped drives without improvement. Cleaning the internals and reseating the cable didn’t help. Dust seems present. Any suggestions for hardware problems? Thanks!
