She has a 13" HP laptop that's been through several SSD failures. It hasn't been used much since October 2022, and after the first drive failed, it was replaced without much use afterward. You took it apart expecting memory issues but didn’t see any damage there. Could be another component or a different type of failure is at play?

Cheap SSDs often show unusual failure patterns, and the MB might be malfunctioning by sending incorrect signals to the drive.

The storage drives weren’t inexpensive; the first was a Samsung model and the newest was from WD.
